Kaizen is leading the collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA) and Communications components of the USAID-funded Niger Wadata Development Food Security Activity (Niger DFSA). Wadata, which means “prosperity” in local Hausa, works in partnership with communities and local authorities to improve food and nutrition security for the most vulnerable through an integrated health, livelihoods, and risk reduction approach in three departments in the Zinder region of Niger, covering 711 villages.

As a subcontractor to Save the Children International, Kaizen provides personnel for the roles of Strategic Learning Advisor and Communications Coordinator. The Strategic Learning Advisor, a key personnel position, designs and implements a CLA strategy to capture and incorporate activity learning through systematic qualitative and quantitative reflections on program delivery, in close coordination with the monitoring, evaluation and learning team. The CLA also supports high-level coordination and collaboration among key partners in government, other bilateral and multilateral donors, and the other Development Food Security Activities (DFSAs) in the region. Additionally, Kaizen provides short-term technical assistance in the areas of organizational development, communities of practice, communications, and CLA.
