Task forces are an extremely effective tool for overcoming inter-agency bureaucratic bottlenecks and achieving one or more national goals.
Task force management is the process through which individuals from different government organizations, and related stakeholders, work together to achieve the desired inter-agency outcome. For task forces to succeed, they must have a limited and specific time frame and scope. Individuals are seconded from their organizations to focus exclusively on the objective of the task force. The task force is typically given its own legal mandate.
