Kaizen developed a community of practice to assist governments in accessing climate-change-adaptation financing.
As a sub-contractor to AECOM on the Asia Climate Change Adaptation Project (ADAPT), Kaizen developed a Community of Practice (CoP) that assisted Asian and Pacific governments in accessing climate change adaptation financing. Through the CoP, users were better able to apply for climate change adaptation (CCA) finance due to benefits from focused trainings, peer-to-peer learning, enhanced regional knowledge sharing networks and tools, and facilitated regional networking through virtual events. Kaizen guided the development and launch of a specialized web portal that addressed project needs, aligned with project branding, and was integrated with the pre-existing project and partner websites. Moreover, Kaizen assisted the ADAPT team to produce a CoP implementation plan and worked closely with the project to develop and implement processes tailored to the needs of the project’s CoP. Finally, Kaizen supported ADAPT to execute the implementation plan and to manage and improve CoP operations after launch. These activities contributed to the overall goal of the ADAPT project to assist governments in accessing funds for climate change adaptation projects.
