PROJECTS

Ethiopia Learning Analytics Activity

USAID/Ethiopia’s goal is to transition Ethiopia to a more democratic, prosperous, and resilient society, with accountable institutions and private sector-led growth. USAID’s work in Djibouti invests in people through education, health, governance, and democracy programs.

Through the Learning Analytics Activity, Kaizen, A Tetra Tech Company helps USAID to achieve these objectives by dramatically improving effectiveness of programming and enabling greater integration with the local context, faster adaptation, and more innovation. To do this, Learning Analytics supports USAID/Ethiopia and USAID/Djibouti through the provision of tailored services to enhance organizational development (OD), build capacity and improve collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA) practices, processes, and systems. These approaches drive the Mission’s overall organization health, evidence-based decision making, and innovation, allowing for enhanced capabilities and fit-to-purpose data analytics. New interventions increase collaboration between traditional monitoring systems and implementing partners.

The Learning Project consortium is led by The Kaizen Company, which brings private sector innovation to organizational development and transformation. The consortium also includes:

  • MSI, with decades of LME and CLA expertise;
  • IBM, a leading technology and consulting firm to provide data analytics and custom software;
  • Premise Data, which harnesses crowdsourcing, machine learning and artificial intelligence for timely access to insights;
  • Lead Beyond, a leadership development firm; and
  • The Pardee Center, with its custom data modeling platform which forecasts country development outcomes across human, social and environmental systems.

Tetra Tech’s Learning Analytics Activity sets a new standard for CLA practice, facilitating the transition of Ethiopia and Djibouti to democratic, prosperous, and resilient societies. By sharing our practices with implementing partners, host country governments, donors, and others, we contribute to a stronger regional development community and drive sustainable, impactful change.
