Ali Khatib is MELA’s Senior MEL Specialist, who manages the evaluation/assessment component of the Activity and leads a team of seven professionals specializing in MEL, MIS/GIS, and gender.
Ali has extensive experience in monitoring and evaluating development and humanitarian projects. He has also worked on projects funded by major organizations like USAID, DFID, EU, IBRD, and the UN in the MENA region, specifically in Palestine, Jordan, Tunisia, and Libya. Ali’s expertise spans various sectors, including WASH, governance, education, health, private sector development, and economic growth.
Ali’s core strengths lie in developing and managing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and knowledge management (KM) systems, including performance monitoring methodologies, data quality assurance, and impact assessment.
Ali has a strong track record of leading and managing diverse teams while ensuring project objectives align with client expectations. Moreover, Ali is deeply involved in the evaluation field as the President of the Palestinian Evaluation Association and an active member of EvalMENA and other international evaluation networks.
