Amruta Bhir is a Senior Program Management Coordinator at the Kaizen Company, currently supporting the Jordan Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Activity and Human and Institutional Capacity Development programs.
Prior to joining Kaizen, Amruta worked as a Program Coordinator at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law housed at Georgetown University’s Law Center where she provided administrative, logistical and programmatic support to her initiative. During her time at O’Neill, she co-led three academic programs administered by the Institute. In addition to her role, Amruta also performed desk research for various topics relevant to other projects at O’Neill. Before that, she worked as an Innovative Finance Intern at the Health Finance Institute where she conducted research and analysis on innovative finance mechanisms to close the financing gap for research on non-communicable diseases.
Amruta earned her master’s degree in public health with a concentration in global health and health policy from Monash University, Australia. Additionally, she holds a bachelor’s degree in botany from Delhi University, India. Amruta is fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi and elementary Telugu, Tamil and Spanish. Her passion lies in making healthcare accessible and at Kaizen, she’s interested in working at the intersection of public health and program management.
