Amy Watve has 16 years of experience in strategic planning and analysis, financial processes, service and process improvement, and other related management and organizational development issues for private, non-profit and public sector clients.
She is currently based in Uganda as an Organizational Development Expert for Kaizen. Formerly, as Kaizen’s Strategic Initiatives Director, Amy led strategy implementation and program design in the home office.
Prior to joining Kaizen, Amy was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, focusing on organizational development and change management in the public and social sectors. She possesses extensive experience in the Middle East, having lived and worked in Iraq, Egypt, the Gulf, Jordan, and the West Bank. Amy has also worked in East Africa, Central America, and Eastern Europe.
Amy received her MA in international relations and strategic studies from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and her BA in Middle Eastern studies from Emory University. Amy is a Certified Performance Technologist (CPT) through the International Society for Performance Improvement. She speaks English, Arabic, Spanish and French.
