Houssein Aden is the Technical Coordinator of GBV/FGM for the USAID/Supporting Civil Society Engagement in the Local Development Process, Djibouti.
Before joining Kaizen, Houssein held the position of Project Manager of Child’s Right Protection of Refugee Children at ICAN (International Children Action Network) in the Republic of Djibouti. He also worked at UNDP (United Nations Development Program) as a Social Entrepreneurship Trainer to encourage young Djiboutians to become social entrepreneurs under the Rising Djibouti project funded by USAID. He also served as Personal Development Trainer at EDC (Education Development Center) with the USAID-funded project in Workforce Development for Djiboutian Youth.
Houssein hold a master’s degree in Logistics Engineering from the University of Central China Normal University in Wuhan and a bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Transportation Management from the University of Djibouti. He speaks French, English, Somali and Arabic.
