Rasha Al-Osta
MEL Specialist
Rasha is a MEL Specialist at USAID MELA.
She has over 18 years of experience in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation in Jordan and the region. Rasha deeply understands and has hands-on experience with USAID/Jordan MEL methodologies.
Rasha has extensive expertise in project management, community mobilization, monitoring and evaluation, adaptive management, performance management, and data analysis. She is skilled at planning and implementing program activities, developing key performance indicators, and collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
Rasha has worked in several specialty areas, including strategic planning and business development, performance monitoring systems, conducting needs assessments, capacity building, information management, education, health, and demographic research.
Before working at MELA, Rasha worked for the Jordanian Ministry of Education (MoE), where she gained extensive experience in monitoring and evaluating education policies and procedures and worked to improve the quality, relevance, availability, accessibility, and use of education data, through a multi-pronged approach to address challenges to effective data generation and use, fostering a shift in data culture.
Rasha has honed her skills in critical fields, including community development, cultural competency, gender and social inclusion. She has a solid educational foundation and a passion for developmental work. Rasha holds a Master’s degree in Social Science.
