Sophia brings over 15 years of experience in international development, public, and private sectors.
As an Organizational Development Specialist on the USAID-funded Human and Institutional Capacity Development (HICD) Activity in Georgia, she develops, implements, and oversees end-to-end HICD programs with partner organizations, as well as coaches, mentors and builds the capacity of local subcontractors. She is well-versed in HICD methodology and processes, and with her versatile skill set and multisectoral knowledge has played an important role in driving the success of the HICD programs at USAID/Georgia HICD 2020 prior to joining Kaizen. She has built lasting relationships with stakeholders and partners from a wide variety of sectors, supported their performance assessments through rigorous application of HICD tools, and helped them address performance needs essential for their institutional resilience.
Sophia holds an MBA from the Caucasus School of Business of the Caucasus University, and is a certified HICD Virtual Academy graduate. She is currently pursuing her PhD in American Studies from the International Black Sea University of Georgia. She is fluent in Georgian, English, and Russian.
